The Space Between: A Panorama of Cinema in Turkey, 1950s – Present, April 27 - May 10

This program, co-presented with The Film Society of Lincoln Center, will take place between April 27-May 10, 2012 at Walter Reade Theater, Lincoln Center in New York City.

The film series curated by Richard Peña, Director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, includes 29 feature films ranging from the 1950s to recent works, all subtitled in English. Films are selected for their quality, themes, and significance in artistic and international recognition levels as well as being a milestone in Turkish film history.

You can sponsor a film at "The Space Between: A Panorama of Cinema in Turkey" program with a contribution of $2,500 through our Adopt-A-Film program. Films up for adoption include classics such as Yilmaz Guney's internationally acclaimed masterpiece Yol, Winner of the Cannes Palme d'Or, 1982; film adaptations of popular novels such as Omer Kavur's Anayurt Oteli and Atif Yilmaz's Selvi Boylum, Az Yazmalim; as well as well-known contemporary examples like Vizontele, Itiraf and Teyzem.
